ARIZONA'S ENERGY FUTURE

A long-term plan for cleaner, reliable energy for Arizona. That is the vision APS, the Arizona Corporation Commission and other customer groups are working toward. On May 16, 2012, the ACC approved a settlement agreement filed by APS and 21 other groups that is best for Arizona's energy future. Our plan allows Arizona to continue developing renewable energy; supports energy efficiency programs for customers; invests in grid upgrades; and changes the rate structure to reflect the importance of energy efficiency.

Settlement Agreement Approved By ACC

On May 15, 2012, the Arizona Corporation Commission voted to approve the settlement agreement in APS's general rate case. The agreement, which takes effect July 1, 2012, brings broad benefits to customers, keeping rates stable and affordable over the next four years.

Bill Impacts

Base rates will remain flat for four years. That means not only zero bill impact on the average customer bill in 2012, but also that rates accounting for the vast majority of your bill will not change until at least 2016.
