Solar Future

Solar power is a growing part of Arizona’s energy mix.

As the nation’s sunniest state, Arizona embraces its role as a solar energy leader.

APS boasts some of the most extensive solar resources of any U.S. energy company, recently becoming the first outside of California to surpass one gigawatt of solar energy capacity. We continue to innovate with the AZ Solar Partner rooftop program, the technology-driven Solar Innovation Study, our universal grid-scale AZ Sun solar program and Solana, which provides solar power after sundown.

Through these programs and more than 60,000 customers with private rooftop solar, we learn more each day about how to provide solar energy efficiently in a way that’s fair and affordable to all our customers. It’s all part of creating a sustainable, cleaner energy future for Arizona.
